Kimberly Murray is an accomplished attorney and registered nurse, born and raised in Panama City, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude, from Florida State University and her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law.

Before becoming a licensed attorney, Kim worked as a nurse in various specialties, including neonatal intensive care, psychiatric, medical-surgical, cardiac-telemetry, and home health nursing. Her experience as a nurse has given her a unique perspective and a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry. In addition to practicing insurance law, Kim also handles adoption, guardianship, and health law cases for the firm.

During law school, Kim served as a judicial intern for the Honorable J. Thomas McGrady and completed the Elder Law Practicum with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office and the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas County. She received several awards, including the Alexander L. Paskay Bankruptcy Award and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.

After being admitted to the Florida Bar, Kim worked in private practice, focusing on medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, personal injury, and wrongful death cases. She also served as a Senior Attorney for the Agency for Healthcare Administration and as an Assistant Attorney General for the Florida Attorney General’s Office in the Children’s Legal Services Division.

Kim is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of numerous professional associations and serves on several boards, including The American Association of Nurse Attorneys (TAANA) (currently serving as Co-Corresponding Secretary on the Executive Board, as well as Co-Chair of the Communications Committee), the American Bar Association (member of the Assisted Reproductive Technologies Committee and the Health Law Section), the Florida Bar (member of the Health Law, Family Law, and Real Property & Probate Law Sections), the Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers (Co-Chair of the Mentoring Committee), and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

She is also dedicated to giving back to the community and serves as a Board Member for Voices for Children of Tampa Bay, a Guardian ad Litem for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, and as a member of the Community Outreach Committee for the Heart Gallery of Tampa.
